Doug Wigfield Back by popular demand………Doug Wigfield, Wildlife biologist and sika deer expert, will present the seminar. Exploring how vocalization is a key to hunting sika deer. Behavioral characteristics of Sika deer as well as a brief history of their origin. The purpose of the sika hunting seminar will be to familiarize people with the species so they can hunt smart, learn proven methods and employ techniques, especially calling, that will help them experience sika hunting fun. The critters habits and habitat are completely different from whitetails so one has to take a different hunting mind set. The seminar is for the novice sika hunter and the experienced alike. Doug Wigfield is a wildlife biologist and owner of Crowmart, an on-line store catering to serious crow hunter's equipment needs. He is an avid hunter, writer and seminar speaker on hunting sika deer. The leading authority on sika deer, he has successfully used and advocated sika calling for over twenty years. Doug premiered the "Sika Seducer" three years ago. It is a hand-made walnut, open reed call that will produce all the finest bugles, chirps, mews and subtle vocalizations that a sika makes. The call comes complete with an instructional CD. Seminar presented by Tommy Dodd & John Taylor. This a course covering waterfowl identification, goose decoy spreads, calling and flagging, and concealment. For beginners and experienced alike. Tommy Dodd is the winner of the goose calling U.S. open and Mid-Atlantic open. He owns Dodd's hunting service, providing guided goose hunts on the eastern shore of Maryland. John Taylor is the owner of Bay Country Calls, He was the 1997 world Goose calling champion and in 2005 one the worlds champion of champions.

After you have met and talked hunting with the Duck Commander himself, loaded up on all the hottest waterfowl gear, Phil then gives a very meaningful message. Advanced Deer Hunting 101- Seminar presented by CJ Winand. All the scientific information presented during his talks are based on actual field research conducted by himself or other prominent wildlife biologists. CJ translates this biological information so everyone can understand and utilize the latest scientific results. Hunters that use these findings can readily adapt or modify their hunting techniques to harvest quality bucks. CJ's seminars are data packed and will elevate even an experienced hunter's savvy. Come prepared to take notes on what some people call a whole college course in "Advanced Deer Hunting 101". CJ is a wildlife biologist and an outdoor writer for Bowhunter Magazine -"Hunting Whitetails" column and North American Hunter - "Whitetail Tips".Collectively, current circulation for both magazines exceeds more than one million hunters. Brian Eyler presents an informative look at the Maryland DNR Deer Management Program. “Brian has been with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources for 6 years and served 5 years as the Deer Statistician before taking over as Deer Project Leader. Brian has a BS from Penn State University in Wildlife Science and an MS from University of Maryland in Ecology. He has been involved in deer management and research for 15 years. His seminar will cover the recent performance of telecheck as the deer check-in method for Maryland and how deer management decisions are made in the state.”
